The Buddha Path uniquely has only one principle alongside its objective. The Buddha Path, Inheritance, and One Essence always closely relate, and thus it is called the Supreme One Essence. Even if thousands of Buddhas have come into the world in thousands of guided periods, it only has one intact principle and objective in the three periods of the Buddhas of the One Essence (the Superior-Life Period, the Gentle-Life Period, and the Inferior-Life Period); that is, how to guide everyone attain liberation through knowing, seeing, and solving. In the period when the Buddha comes into the world, the salvation made by the Lord is in correspondence with the Life Period. —T. V.

ATTESTATION

The Sangha-Chief Tịnh Vương, representing the Three Postures of Buddha, is fully authorized in responsibility, execution, and leading in accordance with the perfect principle and the general original vow of the Pure King Buddha on the road of the Dharma Constitution.

The Sangha Chief has the important responsibility of attesting for true disciples, as well as for the Dharma-Ending Age, bringing all of them to the present liberation through knowing, seeing, and solving. Therefore, the true disciples do not seek liberation from anywhere but trust-obedience-respect.

BY TRUST-OBEDIENCE-RESPECT TOWARD THE SANGHA CHIEF, IMMEDIATELY REACH ACQUISITION.

If trust is lost, one will be lost in birth-death.

If trust-obedience is lost, one will be sunk in the proceedings of the Six Taos.

If trust-obedience-respect is lost, one will be near the hungry ghost, animal, and hell.

No trust: Never being liberated through solving.

No obedience: Never reaching and attaining.

No respect: Separated from intelligent nature and the Three Generations of Buddhas.

Full trust-obedience-respect means performing virtuous deeds and vowed conduct, offering to the Three Postures, being ordinated to become the Buddha, having the same original vow of the Dharma Constitution, and being in company with the Bodhisattva and Buddha in vow and in work.

THE SANGHA CHIEF TỊNH VƯƠNG ATTESTING:

In the presence of true disciples.

From Divine Humans, Fairies and Deities in the Three Realms and Six Taos, including humankind, asura, animal, and hungry ghost, to most hells, all comply, listen, receive, and are present.

The Mahasattva-Bodhisattvas are protecting and giving aid efficiently.

The Dragon-Deity Dharma Protectors and Mahasattva-Bodhisattva Dharma Protectors are protecting and giving aid efficiently.

The Supreme Deities, Divine Deities, and Human Deities; the Asura Deities, Mountain Deities, Water Deities, Fire Deities, and Land Deities; and the Four Teams of Deities are all protecting and giving aid efficiently.

CO-INVITATING the twelve Yaksa Demon-King Great Generals of the Eastern-Salvation Medicine Master to offer your efficient protection and help.

You should all consider the general original vow of the Three Postures of Buddha. Today, the Sangha Chief is authorized in the Dharma-Ending Age to attest for true disciples and to execute the general duty that aims at bringing all of them to the liberation through knowing, seeing, and solving.

So protection and help should be given to each true disciple with True Reward or retribution fairly, correctly, and efficiently.

THE SANGHA-CHIEF TỊNH VƯƠNG ATTESTED

One day, Reverend Tịnh Vương taught at 42 Hồng Bàng Street, Nha Trang, on His wooden loft. I heard the Lord say these words:

When I intuitively remember my former life, which was the Maitreya, how can I inscribe the name of Maitreya under the sutra that I write? I must use another name, which is Tịnh Vương Nhất Tôn. —T. V.

Tao practitioners who want to meet Lord Maitreya must know what His Dharma subject is. The Lord Maitreya’s Dharma subject is a practice in form-sound-odor-taste-touch-Dharma of the secular world, but without being polluted by it. Practicing in this way will let one realize the truth of the Lord Maitreya’s Dharma subject.

As for The Founding Master Shakyamuni Buddha, He was the head of religion, opening the Tao in this human world. How could I claim myself to be another head of religion to dispute His position in this return? Therefore, I only used the highest position in Tao—the Sangha Chief—to show my respect toward the head of religion, Founding Master Shakyamuni Buddha. As for speaking of the two words “Long-Hoa,” when I have come into life to fulfill the Tao Dharma, I also could not use the term “Long-Hoa” for the hanging sign. So, I must ask permission to establish the Dharma Constitution Vietnamese Buddhism Association, but I also intended to remind living beings in this human world that the Maitreya Himself has come into this world to re-establish the Superior-Life [with carefully thinking, they should recognize this]. Therefore, under the title “Dharma Constitution Vietnamese Buddhism,” I wrote the words “the Central Superior Association,” but unfortunately no Tao practitioners, including monks, nuns, and Buddhist believers, paid attention to the two words “Superior Association” when they looked at the large hanging board with its yellow ground and sky-blue letters.

—T. V.

Sangha Chief Tịnh Vương is the Supreme Maitreya Buddha Himself, who takes on the important responsibility of opening Tao Dharma in the Degenerate-Life Period, which is attested by the Pure King Buddha.

The Pure King Buddha is the Tathagata Himself in the Orient, and also the God of the Occident. In Arabian communities, the Pure King Buddha also is Allah Himself. His names vary from one place to another, but He is the supreme power of the universe:

All Buddhas in the ten directions, before becoming Buddhas, have to meet the Pure King Buddha in order to be promulgated and attested so that they are able to become the Buddhas and to integrate themselves into the Lord, forming the One. That is the meaning of “though one but two, though two but one.”

The Patriarchs, who have acquired the Dharma of true emptiness, enlightment, great enlightenment, or full enlightenment, still cannot meet the Pure King Buddha. Only the One of complete enlightenment, conducting His vows until attaining the Miraculous Bodhi Fruit and becoming a Buddha, can meet the Pure King Buddha to be promulgated and attested.

The Buddhas and The Founding Master Shakyamuni Buddha were all able to meet the Pure King Buddha before entering Nirvana. The Supreme Maitreya Buddha, before entering Nirvana, also was able to meet the Pure King Buddha who came to promulgate and attest.

Before entering the Eight Masses of Nirvana, Lord Maitreya had to wait. The Bodhisattvas and Dragon-Deity Dharma Protectors asked the Lord what He was waiting for and why He did not go yet. “I’m still waiting for the Pure King Buddha to come to attest,” Lord Maitreya answered. At that time, Lord Maitreya released His True Contemplation to teach this matter. After that, the Pure King Buddha came, and Lord Maitreya immediately entered the Constitution of Eight Masses of Nirvana.

When Bodhisattvas or Great Bodhisattvas acquire the Supreme Rank True Enlightenment, they can meet the Pure King Buddha, who came to attest. However, they cannot meet the Pure King Buddha when they depart from life. Only when they return to the world, carry out their vows, and attain the true fruit of Buddha will the time come when the Pure King Buddha comes to promulgate and attest.

The Patriarchs of Arahant rank, enlightened up to the highest level of full enlightenment, have not been able to meet the Pure King Buddha. In the Period of Return, many who claimed themselves to be Buddhas were not presented on the list of ordination by the Buddha following the principle. Even though they were truly enlightened, they had to go around within the Six Taos waiting for the Buddha, who succeeds Lord Maitreya, to be verified and attested by Him so that they could be integrated into the constitution.

One day Reverend Tịnh Vương, incarnating Lord Maitreya, taught as follows:

For example, there is only one king in a nation, and his son inherits the throne upon his father’s death, and the proceeding is just like that. It is the same as in this period: old leaders transfer the leadership to those who succeed them. There is no difference between the way of life and the way of Tao—that is the meaning of true transmission. —T. V.

Therefore, many Tao practitioners are not aware of the path of past Buddhas: it must practice in order, passing through numerous strata without omission to integrate oneself into the constitution. By claiming themselves to be Bodhisattvas or Buddhas, they could not possess the Secret Seal to manage the universe.

It is the same as in a country: there are many brilliant people with doctorates, but only one of is appointed to be prime minister by the king or leader. Once that one is the prime minister, the whole country listens to them and complies with their signature. Those opposing them are immediately questioned about their guilt by security guards. Meanwhile, the other doctors earn a living each in their own way, with their enjoyment depending more or less on their earnings. Their signatures are not as authoritative as those of the prime minister. And the one who succeeds this prime minister after their term will have the authority as the former. Likewise, after the Truly Enlightened One has entered the Eight Masses of Nirvana, the inherited Bodhisattva is the only one who is handed the Secret Seal to salvage living beings.

Therefore, Lord Maitreya has said: “In this return, I re-establish the rule and way of Dharma practice.” Living beings who follow the way established by the Lord will become citizens of the Buddha’s nation. Otherwise, even with study and advanced education, they are still hoveringly reborn in the human world or other worlds!

If a Tao practitioner believes in the Buddha and practices Buddhism by sutras and with images of the Buddha made of wood or cement, or drawings on paper, and if they have rooted goodness, then at the moment of death they will be reborn in an area with temples where they can see again the Buddha’s sutras and the Buddha statue, and can come to practice Tao Dharma. They continue to transmigrate just like that.

By meeting the Bodhisattva and trusting Him in Dharma practice, a Tao practitioner can follow the exact supreme principle. Therefore, the Lord has explicitly guided true disciples: Losing trust in the Sangha Chief or in the executing inherited Patriarch, one will become lost in the birth and death. Why is this? A Tao practitioner, who is practicing Dharma, does not really know what they doing is right or wrong,[58] yet they do not believe in the One—who is clearly aware of the birth-death’s path, will certainly get lost, and thus they must believe. Otherwise, practicing in any way, even exactly as in the sutras, Tao practitioners will still not be able to liberate themselves from the birth and death.

[58] In respect of resolving the birth-death transmigration.

Generally, Tao practitioners who believe in Buddhism are innumerable, but it is truly difficult for a practitioner to believe in the Good-Intelligent-Awakened One—Who has been enlightened; they must recognize the truth before they can have belief. It is difficult for a practitioner to believe in the Good-Intelligent-Awakened One, but it is much more difficult for a practitioner to fulfill the trust-obedience’s words to be enlightened. By neither obedience nor fulfillment of what the Truly Enlightened One has taught, one could not release oneself from the Six Taos. That is the meaning of sinking into Deva, Human, Asura, Hungry Ghost, Animal, and Hell.

During the present Period of Return and Dharma-Ending, Reverend Tịnh Vương, incarnating Lord Maitreya, has taught the faithful followers that they need to have the same vow, the same path, and the same work as the Bodhisattvas and Buddhas who have left, aiming at the same enjoyment of the truth and liberation through knowing, seeing, and solving. If they perform neither the same vow, path, nor work, practicing their own volition instead, they will never attain the results. Because the Dharma practice was lost the way, the Reverend Lord has returned to correct it.

There are countless other worlds in the eyes of a master of meditation, who clearly sees, and can be told of endless words.

The following story took place in the twentieth century—the century of civilization and scientific progress in which a spacecraft reached the moon. It is strange but true:

One day around 1978, at Re-Education Camp A.30 in Tuy Hòa, I had an acquaintance in the same ward named Hoa. He was in a blacksmith’s group when we were in the Re-Education Camp of Đá Bàn. When we were transferred to A.30, in 1978, all of us were starving. Each member received only 4 kg of rice and few cassavas each month. One day, Hoa’s wife came to visit him and brought him 10 kg of rice. Seeing me after many days of hunger, Hoa gave me a milk-can full of rice. I said to him, “A piece in hunger is worth a package in comfort.” I cooked the rice and prayed for Hoa’s family before eating it. Hoa and I were, at the time, in the re-education camp, and his wife was in Tuy Hoà City, which was more than 30 km away from the camp. In the next harvest, the whole country suffered from drought and insects swarmed over the fields. As a result, all the crops, including those of Tuy Hoà, were gravely damaged. There was almost no rice harvest.

When Hoa’s wife visited, she told her husband that only her field was miraculously fruitful, while all those surrounding it were greatly damaged. Only her field had a good harvest. Local officials came and asked her about her planting techniques, praised her, and invited other farmers to visit her field to learn from her experience. Mrs. Hoa answered that she had grown the rice in the ordinary way, giving it no special care, and did not know why her field had such success!

Through this story, we can see that a Tao practitioner’s trust, obedience, and respect toward the Buddha are essential for effective results. Living beings who trust in such a practitioner and respect Saints, Deities, God, and the Buddha will truly benefit from it. Furthermore, those who love their inferiors are also esteemed, praised, and admired by past Tao practitioners.

Words and actions must go together sincerely. Do not be insincere by using beautiful words and actions in the opposite way, to destroy Deities, Saints, God, or the Buddha. Those who behave this way will go to the incessant hell—it’s extreme suffering!

Once Reverend Tịnh Vương, incarnating Lord Maitreya, taught that there is a hell so cruel, it holds about five thousand wicked people into one spot, and that isn’t unusual. Their constant screaming and groaning can be described in endless words.

These twelve Great Generals have been around with Reverend Tịnh Vương, incarnating Lord Maitreya, to help people of rooted wickedness repent and return to goodness.

The Eastern-Salvation Medicine-Master Lapis-Lazuli-Light Tathagata, who is the Patriarch of the Supreme Meditation, sent His twelve Great Generals to protect the True Dharma during the time when Lord Maitreya incarnated and opened Tao Dharma. Today, they are still actively and efficiently helping Bodhisattvas build the True Dharma. Those who criticize on the grounds of illusory thoughts are incorrect. It is only intuition that can truly hear, see, and know correctly.

Up to this point, the Lord brightly affirmed that as regards Dharma practice and action, each true disciple will be assisted in accordance with their level of trust, obedience, and respect toward the Tao path the Lord pointed out by using His immeasurable effortful and virtuous merits. If a true disciple seeks “knowing and seeing Buddha” to “Buddha’s knowlege and sight,” which is called the path of enlightenment to complete enlightenment, they will receive the True Reward. The true disciple who practices Tao Dharma in seeking blessed consequences will also receive rewards of Divine Humans. Living beings practicing Tao Dharma outside the path of the Buddhas according to their own wishes will also receive the retribution of their deeds fairly, with true equality for every class.
