7. What Are The Meditation Subject’s Six Doors?
8. What Are the Four Forms of Liberation Through Solving?
These six meditation subjects are formed by one’s desires and rooted causes. However many layers of unconscious error are built, that many layers of individuality are rooted. Because of unconscious errors in holding onto particular fields, there exist the six Tao, which are Deva, Human, Asura, Animals, Hungry Ghost, and the ultimate bottom: Hell.
When practitioners enjoy meditation, aiming to focus on a specific field, then when they are about to die, their life will start to be transferred into the world of Deva, or back to the Human world, to Asura, or to Hell, depending on their consequences of True Reward or retribution. It is same as the permanent characteristic of the above meditation’s six doors: it complies with the preferences and expectations of practitioners, who attaches themselves to specified fields, to respond to their desires and vows.
When a practitioner enjoyably practices meditation by holding onto Martial-Arts’ Tao or Supernatural Power, he or she recognizes, “My meditation subject is the absolute highest truth, so that no other meditation subject can even compare.”
If a practitioner enjoyably practices meditation by the inclination of holding onto Impromptu Speech, he or she does not realize anything else outside of this field, recognizing instead that his or her meditation subject is the absolutely highest truth, so that no other meditation subject can even compare to it.
Some practitioners enjoyably cultivate Meditation of Deity or Deity Power, practicing by holding onto prayers and expectations. They respectfully receive the Deity’s supernatural efficacy and power, which is absolutely authentic truth, and their meditation is the highest form, so that no other meditation subject is more precious than it.
Another kind of practitioner enjoys Meditation of Human and Heaven. This practitioner practices meditation by holding onto expectations of disembodiment, making the spiritual consciousness fine and liberated to directly contact with the Devas, being acutely aware of the Earth, longevity, and immortality, and obtaining the sacred intelligence. This practitioner recognizes that his or her meditation is the absolutely highest truth, and that no other meditation subject can compare to it.
When practitioners enjoyably practice meditation by holding onto Still Tranquility, they recognize that the Still Dharma is a Dharma subject escaping the human world, dissolving accumulated karmas, ending fettered karma[7], and achieving tranquil mind. This direction of practice is either unintentional or intentional, leading to tranquility in the Fairy Tao or to isolated tranquility. These practitioners falsely think that the acquired fruit of Buddha is nothing outside of tranquility, and they realize that their meditation is the absolute highest truth, so that no other meditation Dharma subject can be outside of tranquility.
There are also practitioners who pleasantly intend Meditation of Fairy Tao. These practitioners conceive of this meditation as liberation from the birth–death cycle, and their meditative sitting aims at training in focusing on a specific field. They admit that the Fairy Tao is fine and liberated, easy to practice, and easy to acquire, and the Fairy world is happy and leisurely. Thus, this meditation is the absolute original truth, and no other meditation subject could compare with it.
The meditation subject’s six doors are supplies that are suitable to the demands of practitioners because the essential nature of meditation corresponds to each fixed thought, to mindlessness, to arising illusory thought, to knowledgeable rank, to individual attainment, and to light or heavy error, so it leads to the such formation. They are neither true enlightenment nor the Dharma of immortal truth. Why? This is because holding onto a particular field uses the unreal ego that creates such existence. This is why the Buddha said, “You obtain what you desired. Meditation nature corresponds to one’s vow, which leads to the formation.”
[7] This karma already has been existed since the ancient time of no-beginning no-ending.
THE FOLLOWING BRIEFS ARE:
SECT, PRINCIPLES, ESSENCE, AND THE APPLICATION OF THE MEDITATION SUBJECTS
7.1 Meditation of Martial-Arts’ Tao and Supernatural Power
❖ Using the supernatural efficacy to nourish the spiritual consciousness to establish the SECT.
❖ Using the Dharma electricity, Divine electricity to establish the PRINCIPLE.
❖ Using the absorption through sitting meditation and martial arts to establish the ESSENCE.
❖ Using the tranquility together with flowers, fruits, and vegetarian food to establish the APPLICATION.
Nowadays, the meditation sect of martial arts’ Tao is divided in many directions. In Tibet, practitioners use energy through meditative sitting to produce heat in cold weather. The meditation assistant dips a blanket in water and covers the body of who performs the meditative sitting. Depending on the practitioner’s ability to produce heat, the blanket is taken off once it has dried. Only this sect determines the achieved level of meditation practicing, which is high or low depending on the performance with wet blankets in the freezing winter. A practitioner of the highest rank can use up to seven blankets overlapped on his or her body. In other places, people practice this meditation by training strength, training Artemisia (a herb), and by tattooing one’s body. In Thailand, they use the martial arts’ meditation to practice the martial arts’ Tao. In Vietnam, this meditation is practiced mainly on Thất Sơn Mountain,[8] and the practice absorbs and uses quintessence (pure substance), energy, and spirit.

7.2 Meditation of Impromptu Speech
❖ Using the worship with faithful mind to establish the SECT.
❖ Using the planchette writing and penetration into the body, appearing through impromptu poems to establish the PRINCIPLE.
❖ Using the tranquility, sitting meditation, and holy efficacy to establish the ESSENCE.
❖ Using drum-castanets, offering ceremonies, and formal dress to establish the APPLICATION.
Nowadays, this sect is found in great numbers and divided into many forms with different degrees of superstition. One form is praying for the Buddha-Mother, the Great Saint, or the Divine Fairy. The other forms are medium, penetration into the body, and the use of shrines. All are not outside of planchette impromptu speech.
7.3 Meditation of Deity Power
❖ Using the brilliant supernatural efficacious Deity to establish the SECT.
❖ Using the admiration and sincere mind to establish the PRINCIPLE.
❖ Using the laborious sitting meditation with calm mind to establish the ESSENCE.
❖ Using the purity, shrine Deity, and drum-castanets to establish the APPLICATION.
This subject belongs to meditation of the Deity-Saint sect, which focuses mainly on supernatural efficacy and power. Therefore, faithful followers have to pray heartily and expect Deity-Saints to patronize them and give them blessings. Believers often organize offering ceremonies, in which the presents can include buffaloes and cows. They also build sacred temples of great size, conforming to each country, locality, and level of worship.
This sect has existed since the Ancient Superior Period. In that time, civilians lacked knowledge and were very superstitious. They could not explain natural phenomena such as wind, rain, fire, and mountains, and falsely believed that Heaven ordered the Rain Deity, Wind Deity, Thunder Deity, Lightning Deity, and Saints to give blessings and salvation to countries. Nowadays, these Deities’ names still exist, but science later discovered the natural phenomena to be earth, water, wind, and fire. Consequently, superstition about the supernatural powers of these Deities has gradually decreased and disappeared.
When The World’s Most Venerable[9] was incarnated, it was the most prosperous time of Deity Power. Every year the king and civilians killed hundreds of thousands of sheep as gifts for offering ceremonies. Thousands and thousands of cattle also became victims in ceremonies for Deities every year. People in some localities brought virgin boys and girls as gifts to offer the Deity. The sect of Deity Power is a sect that could be described with endless words about superstitions in offering ceremonies. Since the Buddha came into the word, the Lord dissolved superstition, strictly prohibited the killing of living beings in offering ceremonies, and utilized the essential nature spirit of self-awakening and enlightening others; this has saved countless animals and human beings, greatly reformed evil and promoted goodness, the worst therefore has been gradually reduced.

7.4 Meditation of Human and Heaven
❖ Using the ascension to heaven to establish the SECT.
❖ Using thoughts to train the quintessence-energy-spirit to establish the PRINCIPLE.
❖ Using tranquility, study, and sitting-meditation to establish the ESSENCE.
❖ Using fineness and noble speech to establish the APPLICATION.

Many countries esteem this meditation sect and are learning it. Most ascending intellectuals are studying this sect in two ways. The first is by nourishing the spirit and body, curing diseases, using the sitting meditation to receive divine energy, and disembodiment. This way aims at training the quintessence of spiritual consciousness that creates the basis for acquiring the fruit of sacred opening—also known as quintessence-energy-spirit—making one’s spiritual consciousness able to mutually sympathize with heaven, illuminating awareness of the universe.
The second way is to study Buddhism through sitting mediation. This way aims at attaining knowledge and seeing metaphysics. Nowadays, followers of this way in Japan use Zen meditation and yoga; in southern Vietnam, they follow the theosophy sect.
7.5 Meditation of Still Tranquility
❖ Using rigorous rules and precepts to establish the SECT.
❖ Using the tranquil practice, leaving the love and renouncing the family to establish the PRINCIPLE.
❖ Using the sitting meditation and begging for food to establish the ESSENCE.
❖ Using virtuous deeds and meritorious deeds to establish the APPLICATION.

The monk meditation sect is the Meditation of Still Tranquility.
This meditation sect was established in conformity with the sect of the Patriarchs, with the principles of the Founding Master[10]. Therefore, in view of the form of the Tao place establishing monasteries, practitioners are called Buddhist monks or nuns, and they wear Buddhist clothing similar to that of the time when the Buddha was incarnate. They carry a bowl with both hands, and walk and stand solemnly, aiming to escape secular life. However, these monks and nuns are disoriented because this practice is not suitable for current times, they therefore cannot comply with the strict rules and precepts, leading the failure of the sect.
When the sect has not been accomplished, the principle, essence, and application are false, and the practice becomes the practice of tranquility. Meditation of still tranquility aims at enlightened tranquility. The enlightened tranquility requires the abandonment of the ego and self-possession to accomplish the tranquil enlightenment. Otherwise, without abandonment for enlightenment, carrying more Dharma colors and forms, the practice way becomes illusory about Buddha’s form. From the Buddha form of accumulated tranquility, practitioners essentially renounce to obtain darkly isolated tranquility, to be vague about the truth, the result therefore is insignificant.
There is another sect of this meditation. This sect still follows the above sect and principle exactly, but they pursue their objectives in a more flexible way. They find solutions to unconscious attachments. They adopt strict rules to fit each level of the practitioners so that the practitioners’ morale is less constrained. This sect is called the original.

7.6 Meditation of the Fairy Tao
❖ Choosing the mountain-forest and leaving the secular world to establish the SECT.
❖ Using purity and a tranquil mind to establish the PRINCIPLE.
❖ Using the sitting meditation and leaving desire and love to establish THE ESSENCE.
❖ Using the austere life with vegetarian food to establish the APPLICATION.
The Fairy Tao accords with the root of nature, moral nature, knowlegeable level, reflective thought, and fixed thought, which is not outside fineness, roughness, and subtlety, to practice sitting meditation. That’s why the acquired fruit of Fairy practice is characterized by rank. The Fairy Tao’s meditation Dharma subject is exclusively fixed thoughts, training the Dharma of noble fineness, beauty, taking and rejecting, selecting, filtering, and then absorbing and training. Most practitioners of the Fairy Tao meditation enjoyably ascend to the mountains or isolated mountain-forest’s places. They include people who were disgusted with life, left the secular world behind, and ascended the mountain looking for a master to train with.
Nowadays, it is really rare to find a practitioner of the Fairy path. When a Buddhist practitioner is lost or not thorough in their way of practice, even if they faithfully believe in Buddha but their direction of practice is wrong, they still practice in expectation of limited good consequences in the Divine Human’s life, and still fall into the Fairy Tao. The wrong thoughts do not occur just today: Buddhists in the past often lost their way of practice. This is why the Diamond Sutra explains the four forms of liberation through solving, aiming to leave it for future generations to avoid mistakes in practice.
8. WHAT ARE THE FOUR FORMS OF LIBERATION THROUGH SOLVING?
The four forms of liberation through solving are:
❖ The divine form,
❖ The human form,
❖ The living beings’ form, and
❖ The unreal holding ego’s form.
The divine form is the form of holding in fixed thought, arising expected illusory thoughts, filtering good and bad, avoiding kindness and cruelty, disregarding the unselected one, and accumulating the selected one by training and absorbing. Therefore, such practice becomes training and gets lost in the Fairy Tao.
The second form is the form of humans, which often consists of retention, intransigence, and personal conservation, so people frequently think, “My way of practice and action is right.” Their love and hatred are interwoven. In practicing, humans keep following fixed intentions, so even if the practitioner still faithfully believes in Buddha, their way of practicing goes in the wrong direction, and they are lost in the Fairy Tao.
The third form is the form of living beings. With living being forms, they vary a great deal in the Dharma practice. When they enjoy, they will actively practice a lot. But when they feel sad or bored, they will neglect their practice. They often raise their pride and admit themselves wiser and more artful than everyone else. But the same person will put themselves down by blaming their own root karma being bad fate and incapable of practice, disgusting and living in misery. On the karmas of this living being form, the Buddha preached the No Increase, No Decrease Sutra, which aims to guide followers in this form to return to the state of neither decreasing nor increasing. Why? This is because if one decreases, one will fall into Hell, whereas if one increases, one will be lost in the Fairy Tao.
The fourth form is the form of holding onto unreality, that is the form of holding the ego. The one of this form thinks, “My action is right, and my thinking or reasoning is always correct; my way must be like this, or my fixed form must be like that.” This is why Buddha taught that one should leave one’s ego and practice Dharma until one achieves the True Ego completely: that is, Tao practitioners should leave their small egos of unreal thoughts and practice Dharma until they reach the entire Eight Nirvana Great-Ego.
The Buddhist Sutra is very explicit and its teaching is not lacking, but very few can understand it fully. Understanding it requires undergoing each stage of practice and fulfillment, which is full of virtuous deeds that come to constitute effortful deeds. Through effortful deeds and virtuous deeds, one brightly affirms the way of Dharma practice without wrong direction.
The bright affirmation of Tathagata meditation requires an authentic basic way and bright accurate advice. That means that one cannot practice Dharma in just any way, or that what one says is right.
This Tathagata Meditation sutra is a meditation book that is passed down during the Period of Return and Destructive Dharma. Even now, when Dharma is destructive, if the faithful follower practices in accordance with morale, they will naturally enjoy their longevity in the True Dharma Period.
Each word in this sutra is written from the blood vessel, containing uncountable survivals and the life-force of Buddhism. While humanity has lost the precious Dharma, my heart does not hope for anything better than the faithful minds of practitioners: Must truly practice and act in the true nature. With the conduct and vow to help living beings, must overcome Dharma precepts, aiming to be clearly aware of Dharmas. Practice without retention or attachment. Possess the corresponding virtue and intelligence. Achieve the Tao conduct and the Buddhist intelligence, that are one. Those are real offerings for the Throne of the Triple Gem.
